Overview:
Hours: 6:00am to 10:00pm | Year round, using your access key
Resident Age Restrictions:
14 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
15-16 years old can use the pool unaccompanied IF:
1. The parents sign a waiver. <Laura Buhler provides waivers>
2. The teenagers strictly follow the rules.
17 years or older can use the pool unaccompanied
Association Board Members, Pool contacts, and Residents have the authority to:
Ask people for identification to establish residence and age
Escort unauthorized people from the pool area
Ask any person to leave pool area after reasonable warning, if rules are violated
Adult residents should report incidents or rule violations to the board. Not following rules may be grounds for revoking pool privileges.
RESIDENTS DO HAVE THE RIGHT TO CALL THE POLICE TO ESCORT TRESPASSERS FROM THE POOL AREA.
Parking lot entrance"block off" posts are used to block entrance to pool parking lot during off season and during hours the pool is closed, as needed. To request post removal, communicate with a pool contact above.
Use your pool key to gain "Garage" door access to stove, refrigerator and phone. To help us protect our joint investment, if you unlock the gGarageh door and lift it up when you arrive, please close and lock it back up when you leave.
KEY ACCESS PROGRAM:
New keys are available for residents who wish to use the pool. Due to the pool security issues, residents must provide a $50 deposit to obtain new keys, refundable upon their return.
To participate, residents must be up-to-date with their Westwood Estates Property Owners Association dues. Residents with a revolving balance will be denied a key until their accounts are made current. Residents may pay any outstanding balance at time keys are picked up. Contact the pool key administrator at the above number to obtain a key.
GUESTS:
Four guests per household can use pool when an adult resident host is present. No fee or pass is required.
PARTIES:
Resident Gatherings: Gatherings of residents are not considered parties that are subject to the below rules.
Parties: Parties are gatherings including numbers of non-residents that exceed guest limits. Parties can be held at the pool within posted hours, subject to the below additional rules. However, the pool will remain open to all residents during any party.
A resident must sponsor a pool party. Responsibilities include:
? Ensuring guests comply with pool rules
? Providing a lifeguard, if children 14 and under are to attend.
? Providing at least five days advanced notice. Please call the Party Coordinator at the above number. Parties should be scheduled in advance to avoid conflicts and to ensure a lifeguard can be available. Providing a $100.00 deposit to be refunded after pool inspection after the party.
? Cleaning up after the party
PROBLEMS:
We hope that the residents can police themselves and work out minor issues. Notify the board or pool contacts listed at top about situations that involve violation of the posted rules or that may present safety hazards. Pool contacts represent the Westwood board and have the authority to ask any resident to leave the pool area after reasonable warning if rules are violated. Pool area privileges, may be revoked by the board for continuous rule breaking or unsafe behavior.
NO GLASS AT THE POOL:
The Westwood Board considers use or possession of glass containers at the pool to be hazardous and unsafe. As a result, the Westwood Board:
Prohibits possession or use of any glass container (food or alcoholic beverage)
within fenced pool area.
Adopts a zero-tolerance enforcement policy
Considers a pool glass violation to be a covenant violation
Will assess responsible resident with a $100.00 penalty for each covenant violation
Will deny the responsible resident household access to pool facility upon any subsequent violation and additionally assess that resident with any associated costs
Will refer violation(s) to the Association's attorney, if cited resident fails to
pay any assessment.
